Colts bid farewell to Austin Collie

The Indianapolis Colts have told wide receiver Austin Collie that his contract isn't being renewed. Collie has a history of concussion issues.

"Austin was a warrior and an inspiration for the franchise and Colts fans around the world," Colts owner Jim Irsay said. "He was a great player for us and a superstar for our community, and will always be a part of the Colts family."

Collie spent four seasons with the Colts after being selected by the team in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2009 NFL draft. For his career, he has recorded 173 receptions for 1,845 yards and 16 touchdowns in 42 games played with 16 starts. He has also registered 17 receptions for 241 yards and two touchdowns in three postseason games (one start).

As a rookie, he had 60 receptions for 676 yards and seven touchdowns. Collie led all NFL rookies that year in receiving touchdowns and tied for the most receptions. He also finished with the third-most receiving touchdowns, fourth-most catches and fifth-most receiving yards by a rookie in Colts history
