Titans Sign Smith

The Titans agreed to terms with CB Ryan Smith out of the University of Florida. The All-American CB was selected by the Titans in the sixth round of the NFL draft.

Smith at 5'-10" and 175 lbs entered this years draft after playing one season for the Gators. He started his college career at Utah under Coach Urban Meyer where he played three seasons for the Utes. He then transferred to Florida, following Meyer to the warmer climate.

Smith led the SEC last season with eight interceptions and was a starter in fourteen games last year including the National Championship game. He should possess the talent to make the team this year for the Titans and he should provide some young depth in the secondary.

The Titans have now signed three of their ten draft selections from this year's draft. GM Mike Reinfeldt is working hard to have everyone signed before training camp begins later this month.
