What did you think about the win on Monday night?
Over the last few years, we panicked and we would get down three points and think the game was over with. It all would go to crap from there. But now this team is going upwards. We’re learning that you exchange blows in the NFL, and they’re going to take a lead, but we’ve got to come back and keep playing ball.
Did the defensive line get enough pressure on Saints QB Drew Brees?
I think we did, but I think it was really just the great play of the guys behind us. I don’t know how many sacks we got, I think we got one I know for sure and that was Travis (LaBoy). We wanted to stop the run, and I think we did that. I don’t think we hit him enough like we wanted to with the sacks and stuff. They had only given up two or three sacks, and we wanted to come in here break that. We didn’t get a chance to.
What was the importance of being able to come back after the Saints scored?
Just because they scored doesn’t mean the game is over. We’ve got to go out there and play. (Brees) was throwing a lot of gifts (interceptions) out there. Keith (Bulluck) had an early Christmas. It was just a good game. The guys in the back, they played excellent. We just had to do our jobs in the front.
What did you think about Keith Bulluck calling himself Mr. Monday Night?
Of all times. For a linebacker to have three picks like he did is incredible. It was an awesome game by him.
