Gage led the Titans with 750 receiving yards and tied for first on the club with 55 receptions in 2007. His presence on the receiving corp should help solidfy some continuity for QB Vince Young who is still trying to get his passing game on solid ground.
“Justin is a player who made the most of an opportunity and we expect him to be a significant contributor to our offensive success,” said Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt. “He can play outside or inside, has the ability to make tough catches and should continue to grow as a receiver as he and Vince play together more.”
Gage signed with the Titans as an unrestricted free agent last March. He was originally drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. During his 65 career games with 24 starts, Gage has caught 119 receptions for 1,658 yards and six touchdowns.
