The Tennessee Titans were able to reach terms with another former Titan this week. The Titans agreed to terms on a contract with tight end Dwayne Blakley, an unrestricted free agent from the Atlanta Falcons.
Blakely a 6 year veteran of the NFL has spent the last four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons where he played in 59 games and started nine. During last season he played in 12 games for the Falcons and caught 7 balls for 48 yards.
Blakley was originally signed as a free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2002. He played the majority of the 2002 season with the Chiefs on their practice squad. In 2003, he played for the Rhein Fire in NFL Europe and spent time on the practice squads of the San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins before ending up on the Titans roster.
With the signing of Blakely this will make two Tight End signings from Atlanta this year after the signing of Alge Crumpler earlier this month.
